The Zhuhai Port was set up on the same island as the Macao Port. Its main function is to conduct customs clearance and handle passenger transportation for travelers entering or leaving Hong Kong, Macao and Zhuhai, trucks and tourists passing through the three areas. It is the only land port in China that is inter-connected with three destinations for both passengers and goods transportation.

The Zhuhai Port Project was huge, the complex functions and unique location,Gree Real Estate actively created new innovative management concepts,overcoming difficulties such as engineering alternation, tight construction period and bad weather, driving the construction of the project in full force.
The project introduced BIM technology, displaying the digitized data from all engineering materials and construction problems, and intuitively controlled the connection between various components, implementation of details and pipeline layouts, which greatly improved the construction quality and efficiency.
Gree Real Estate adopted the bidding management model to establish and improve the HSE (ie health, safety, environmental protection) management system, set-up HSE special funds, and strictly incentivize and evaluated the construction parties through the reward and punishment mechanism.
In June 2017, Lu Jun, Chairman of Gree Real Estate, and President Lin Qiang began to live and work on the island, setting up the “General Command of Zhuhai Port Construction”, quickly assembled 19 pioneering teams and 5 working groups to deploy into the construction of the port.
From June to July 2017, the General Command and the pioneer team worked day and night, The units involved worked together relentlessly, bringing the port construction from “chaos” to “governance”. The delayed project construction accelerated in speed.
From August to September 2017, the port construction was severely challenged by the triple threat from the powerful typhoons "Tiange" and "Paka" and the strong tropical storm "Mawa". The general command department scientifically deployed defenses, resumed production 72 hours after the disaster and resumed 95% of production within two weeks.
From October to December 2017, the port construction entered the “all-out attack” stage. the general command department gathering strength, tightening the efforts, and tackling each step with a steady hand, ensuring Zhuhai Highway Port would essentially achieve “open to traffic, open to passengers, and customs clearance”.
